Narrative therapy focuses on understanding your own story and how your emotions, actions, and problems fit into the context of the stories of yourself given to you by society and during your upbringing. Narrative therapy helps you construct more useful stories about yourself, and helps make sense of your experiences, thoughts, and feelings.
Solution-focused therapy is a strength-based approach to psychotherapy based on solution-building rather than problem-solving. Unlike other forms of psychotherapy that focus on present problems and past causes, SFBT concentrates on your current circumstances and future hopes.
Dreams can look a bit like life, but they can also be wild, scary and confusing. They include pieces and people from our past. Animals often show up in dreams as well. Together we’ll decipher what they are telling you, what they want you to explore or understand about yourself. You’ll find that opening a dream opens space to open up, to joy, to laughter and to real feeling. Sometimes it can be painful, but ultimately your dreams illuminate your gifts, your aliveness, and your own unique self.
